Program Description:

Study Abroad in Prague

Choose from the full curriculum of courses at the CEA CAPA Prague Center and one of our local partner institutions - Anglo-American University (AAU) or University of New York in Prague (UNYP). There are more than 100 courses available, all taught in English, across a range of disciplines, providing you with a rich selection of diverse course options. Complete your experience with courses at the CEA CAPA Prague Center, which focus on the local context, examining Czech culture and helping you gain new insights into historical and contemporary life in Central Europe. Many courses incorporate an active learning style that takes you out of the classroom and into the city, lending real-world context to lessons learned in the classroom.

Where You'll Study

Study at the CEA CAPA Prague Center, located in the historic Old Town district. Courses give you the opportunity to further your academic pursuits in a variety of subjects with Prague as your classroom. Anglo-American University (AAU), is Prague’s oldest private university. With a strong focus on international students, AAU offers more than 100 courses taught in English across its five schools. University of New York in Prague (UNYP) is a locally and internationally accredited university with more than 100 courses in English on offer. You’ll attend class alongside local Czech and other international students from more than 60 countries. Students will receive a transcript from CEA CAPA’s School of Record, and Anglo-American University or University of New York in Prague, upon completion of their program.

Financial Information

This is considered a 3rd Party Provider program. You will continue to pay Butler University tuition for your semester abroad, instead of the tuition cost listed on the provider's website. The Butler University CGE will receive the bill for this program on your behalf, will pay it, and will pass on these expenses in your Butler student account, including Butler tuition (instead of the tuition listed on the program’s page) and any non-tuition charges, like housing, health insurance, etc. Additionally, you will receive 100% of your federal financial aid and 50% of your Butler University institutional aid and scholarships for your semester abroad.

Additional provider fees may include: application fee, housing deposit, health insurance, etc.

**These above-stated policies may be different for tuition remission, tuition exchange, Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Program, and petition program students. Please check with Financial Aid for more information.**

Application Instructions

As a Butler University student, you will simultaneously apply directly with the provider for this program by their listed deadline, as well as complete this secondary application with the Center for Global Education (CGE) for your top-choice program. You can start the CGE’s application by clicking "Apply Now" above. Should you apply for/get into another program that you’d prefer, just let the CGE know and they’ll switch your completed application into the correct program.
